Well, you know how much I love a good smoothie. And you know I'm rather partial to Jamba Juice. Somehow my kids like them too. Hmmm. Funny.
So when our good friend Margo emailed to see if we'd be interested in touring our local Jamba Juice we said no thank you. HA! Just kidding. We jumped at the chance. In fact, the kids asked me all weekend - What time are we going to Jamba Juice? Do we have to wake up early? When do we leave?
Needless to say, we had a great time taking a tour of Jamba Juice this morning. We met with 3 other homeschool families and had a most excellent guide - Kenzie a Jamba supervisor. She was so enthusiastic and kind. It was great. And of course we got samples too - which was AWESOME!
One of the great things about taking this tour was hearing Kenzie, our guide, tell the kids how much she liked working at Jamba Juice and why. It was encouraging to hear a college student take pride in her work. It showed the kids that there are jobs that are fun - even food service jobs.
The samples were yummy and everyone had a wonderful time learning how smoothies are made.
